Pakistan, April 13 -- Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has launched a free government "body transfer service" across the province. The initiative aims to provide dignified and cost-free transportation for deceased individuals. The service has been introduced in Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Multan. It is designed to support families during moments of grief.
During the launch ceremony, keys of service vehicles were handed over to drivers. The chief minister said the government stands with citizens in times of sorrow. She emphasized that no family should face financial burden during such difficult situations. The service is part of broader public welfare efforts.
