Pakistan, Oct. 9 -- Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif expressed solidarity with the victims of the October 8, 2005 earthquake and paid tribute to those who lost their lives in the devastating tragedy.

In her special message on the 21st National Day of Resilience, observed in connection with the October 8, 2005 earthquake, the chief minister said that people still felt deep sorrow over the loss of lives in the catastrophic earthquake. She said the Pakistani nation's spirit of compassion, sacrifice and empathy during that hour of calamity remained unforgettable.
