Pakistan, May 17 -- Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif arrived in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, along with a delegation, where she was accorded a warm welcome at the airport.

Deputy Minister for Defence Industry Mr Mehman Bakhshiyev received Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and the delegation upon their arrival at Baku Airport. Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Pakistan Khazar Farhadov and his wife, as well as Pakistan's Ambassador to Azerbaijan Qasim Mohiuddin and his wife, were also present at the airport to welcome the delegation.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif will be the official guest of the Government of Azerbaijan during her three-day visit. She is scheduled to meet Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev on May 17.
