Pakistan, Aug. 21 -- Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has stressed the need to restore public trust in the government, saying that 24 hours a day were not enough to serve the people and that there should be 48 hours in a day.

Addressing a ceremony at the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), the chief minister said every successful project in Punjab had PITB's technical support behind it. She appreciated PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf and his entire team for their efforts.

She said the entire system in Punjab was being shifted to automation, with e-governance, e-business, Maryam Ki Dastak and other initiatives becoming part of an integrated digital ecosystem.
