Pakistan, July 15 -- Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday approved the establishment of Aitchison-standard boys and girls schools across the province and gave the go-ahead for setting up the first Maryam Nawaz Centre of Academic Leadership for male and female students on Wahdat Road in Lahore.

The approval was granted during a meeting on school education chaired by the chief minister, where a detailed briefing was presented on the proposed centre.

The CM also approved the pilot project for the Maryam Nawaz Centre of Academic Leadership. Officials informed the meeting that the institution would have the capacity to enrol 5,000 boys and 5,000 girls.
