Pakistan, Aug. 23 -- Punjab water project for Rawalpindi has received approval, promising an additional 35 million gallons of clean water daily for the city and cantonment areas. The Rs36 billion scheme will include a surface water treatment plant and supply system at Dadocha Dam.
The project is scheduled for completion by December 2029 and aims to improve access to safe drinking water. According to the Rawalpindi commissioner, the additional supply from Dadocha Dam will strengthen the city's existing water distribution system.
