Pakistan, Oct. 23 -- The Punjab government has officially announced dates for Lahore's three-day Basant festival in March 2027. The celebrations will take place on March 12, 13 and 14 under a safety-focused plan. Officials have also introduced requirements for rooftops and buildings to reduce risks during kite flying.

The decision came during a meeting chaired by Punjab Home Secretary Ahmed Javed. He said authorities would not allow kite flying from rooftops considered unsafe.
