Pakistan, Aug. 3 -- The Punjab government has announced a local holiday in Lahore on August 4 to mark the annual Urs of Hazrat Ali Hajveri, widely known as Data Ganj Bakhsh. An official notification confirmed the decision, stating that selected government offices in the city will remain closed to facilitate the religious observance. The holiday applies only within Lahore and does not extend to the rest of the province.
According to the notification, all district government offices in Lahore and departments working under the authority of the Deputy Commissioner will remain closed throughout the day.
