Pakistan, June 16 -- The Punjab government has allocated Rs3.85 billion for the Clinic on Wheels programme in its 2026-27 budget. The funding aims to expand access to healthcare services at the community level. The initiative is expected to benefit residents in underserved and remote areas across the province.
Presenting the provincial budget, Finance Minister Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman said the government had dedicated significant resources to improving public health services. He noted that the health sector received 10 percent of the overall provincial budget. The allocation reflects the government's focus on strengthening healthcare delivery.
