ISLAMABAD, April 9 -- The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has issued an important advisory urging mobile users to keep their Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) updated to ensure uninterrupted cellular services.

In a statement shared on social media, the authority emphasized that maintaining valid and updated identity records is essential for continued access to mobile networks. It warned that SIM cards registered against expired CNICs or under another person's name could be blocked without prior notice.
