Pakistan, July 29 -- The benchmark KSE-100 Index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) turned around to a bearish trend on Tuesday, losing 638.45 points, a negative change of 0.36 percent, to close at 177,623.88 points against 178,262.34 points recorded in the previous trading session.

The ready market witnessed a trading volume of 958.014 million shares, compared to 1.032 billion shares traded on Monday, while the traded value increased slightly to Rs41.566 billion from Rs41.020 billion. Market capitalisation declined to Rs19.951 trillion from Rs20.021 trillion recorded a day earlier.

Out of 495 companies that traded in the ready market, 156 posted gains, 306 suffered losses, while 33 remained unchanged, reflecting a predominantly beari...
