Pakistan, Aug. 19 -- The benchmark KSE-100 Index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed a bearish trend on Tuesday, losing 2,546.94 points, a negative change of 1.41 percent, to close at 177,955.51 points against 180,502.45 points recorded in the previous trading session.

The ready market witnessed a trading volume of 1.039 billion shares, compared to 1.048 billion shares traded in the previous session, while the traded value increased to Rs50.741 billion from Rs48.325 billion. Market capitalisation declined to Rs19.906 trillion from Rs20.199 trillion recorded a day earlier.

Out of 494 companies that traded in the ready market, 104 posted gains, 368 suffered losses, while 22 remained unchanged, reflecting a bearish trend across ...
