Pakistan, Sept. 23 -- The benchmark KSE-100 Index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed a positive trend on Tuesday, gaining 248.92 points, a positive change of 0.15 percent, to close at 171,402.08 points against 171,153.17 points recorded in the previous trading session.

The ready market witnessed a trading volume of 641.834 million shares, compared to 692.884 million shares traded in the previous session, while the traded value decreased to Rs18.466 billion from Rs20.100 billion. Market capitalisation increased to Rs19.093 trillion from Rs19.041 trillion recorded a day earlier. Out of 494 companies that traded in the ready market, 226 posted gains, 221 suffered losses, while 47 remained unchanged.
