Pakistan, July 31 -- The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) recovered strongly during the first half of Friday's trading session, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index rising nearly 1,380 points before trading was suspended for the weekly Friday prayer break. The market rebounded after recent losses, reflecting renewed investor confidence despite continued regional geopolitical uncertainty.
The KSE-100 Index climbed 1,378 points, or 0.79%, to 176,926 after opening on a positive note. During the morning session, the benchmark touched an intraday high of 177,108.66 before easing slightly, while finding support around 176,405.33. The previous session had ended at 175,547.98, making Friday's early recovery a significant turnaround.
