Pakistan, July 8 -- The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed a sharp decline during Wednesday's trading session, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index falling by more than 2,900 points as investors continued selling shares following the market's recent record-setting rally.

During intraday trading, the KSE-100 Index dropped by 2,939.51 points, or 1.58 percent, to 183,316.04 points from the previous close of 186,255.55. The decline extended the market's losses after Tuesday's session, when the index ended a five-day winning streak by shedding more than 1,100 points.
