Pakistan, Oct. 11 -- The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed a bearish trend during the past week as the Staff-Level Agreement (SLA) with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) was partly offset by geopolitical uncertainty in the Middle East, rising global bond yields and fears of a policy rate hike by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) kept investors cautious.

According to PSX data, investors lost Rs 156.39 billion in a single week. The market capitalization decreased by Rs 156 billion to close at Rs 18,569 billion compared to last week's Rs 18,725 billion.

The benchmark KSE-100 Index declined by 1,066 points or 0.6 percent on a week-on-week basis and closed at 167,089 points. During the week, the index touched a high of 169,487 point...
