Pakistan, July 22 -- The Pakistan Stock Exchange fell sharply on Wednesday as investors reduced exposure to equities amid external uncertainties. The benchmark KSE-100 Index dropped more than 1,000 points during trading. Broad-based selling weighed on overall market sentiment.

The KSE-100 Index opened with modest gains before reversing into negative territory. According to market data, the index reached an intraday high of 176,255.64. However, it later fell to an intraday low of 174,256.73.
