Pakistan, Oct. 7 -- The PSMC Stakeholders Group has sought Senate Standing Committee on Industries and Production's intervention to monitor performance of government-appointed Boards and managements of Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM). In a letter to Chairman Senator Aon Abbas and Convener Senator Syed Masroor Ahsan, Convener Mumrez Khan said PSM was not on agenda for 7th October 2026 meeting and requested permission to present grievances. The letter alleges: "Profit earning PSM has been deliberately destroyed by MOI&P appointed Board and Managements (men of choice not knowing functions of integrated steel plant)."
