Pakistan, Sept. 18 -- The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has taken note of a report regarding the athletics track at Jinnah Stadium, Islamabad, and wishes to clarify the verified factual position concerning the facility.

Clarifying the report aired on a private TV channel, PSB said, the athletics facility at Jinnah Stadium has been formally certified by World Athletics as a Class 2 Athletics Facility (Construction Category III) under Certificate No. S-23-0356-1, issued on August 28, and valid until October 2030, said a press release.

The certification confirms that the facility has met the applicable World Athletics technical requirements for a Class 2 athletics facility.
