Pakistan, July 16 -- Protests broke out across several Ukrainian cities after President Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov. Demonstrators criticised the unexpected decision and demanded his reinstatement. The move has triggered concern among military personnel, analysts, and sections of civil society.

Hundreds of protesters gathered in central Kyiv carrying banners supporting Fedorov and condemning his removal. Similar demonstrations were reported in other cities as public dissatisfaction grew. Parliament was expected to vote on Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko as Fedorov's proposed successor.
