Pakistan, Aug. 5 -- Delayed polling concluded peacefully in two Azad Jammu and Kashmir constituencies after roads blocked by landslides were reopened, while the Pakistan Peoples Party renewed allegations of electoral rigging. Voting was completed in LA-27 Muzaffarabad-I and 71 polling stations of LA-28 Muzaffarabad-II, where polling had been postponed because of adverse weather conditions.
The AJK elections are being held in three phases due to security considerations. The first phase took place on July 27 in Mirpur division, while the second phase covered seven constituencies in Muzaffarabad division and 12 refugee seats. The final phase, which includes 11 constituencies in Poonch division, is scheduled to be held on August 10.
