Pakistan, June 29 -- The AJK election alliance was officially announced as the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) agreed to join forces for the upcoming Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly elections. Leaders from both parties said the alliance is expected to strengthen their position in the polls scheduled for July 27.

The announcement was made during a joint press conference in Islamabad, where PPP leader Chaudhry Yasin said the agreement marked the beginning of a formal political partnership between the two parties in Azad Kashmir. He expressed confidence that the alliance would benefit both parties and strengthen their electoral prospects.
