Pakistan, Aug. 29 -- The Power Division said RLNG shortages and delayed cargo disrupted electricity generation across Pakistan overnight. The disruption affected around 3,600 megawatts of generation, forcing temporary load management during peak hours. Authorities also reported a 195-megawatt reduction from Mangla.
According to the Power Division spokesperson, consumers faced temporary load management during the night. The measure lasted between 90 minutes and three hours during peak demand periods. Furnace oil plants also operated to help meet electricity requirements.
