Pakistan, July 2 -- Police on Wednesday arrested a man for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl with speech and hearing disabilities. The police registered an immediate case against the suspect following a complaint lodged by the victim's mother and took him into custody.

A police spokesperson said that the victim was shifted to a hospital where her medical examination was completed to gather forensic evidence.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Pothohar Sardar Babar Mumtaz Khan stated that the detained suspect would be prosecuted with solid evidence and the challan would be submitted to the court soon.
