Pakistan, Aug. 24 -- The PML-N won six reserved seats in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Assembly on Monday. The party's strength has now reached 32 members in the 53-seat house. The development puts PML-N in position to form the next AJK government.

The PPP secured the remaining two reserved seats in Monday's voting. PML-N already held 25 directly elected seats before the latest results. Support from the Awam Dast-e-Bazu party has further strengthened its position in the assembly.

Polling covered five seats reserved for women and seats for technocrats and religious scholars. PML-N's Barrister Iftikhar Gilani won the technocrat seat with 26 votes. Muhammad Mazhar Saeed also received 26 votes for the religious scholars' seat.
