Pakistan, Oct. 1 -- A Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) white paper has raised serious questions over governance, law and order and counterterrorism preparedness in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, citing a sharp rise in militant attacks, increasing police casualties, shortages of weapons and equipment, drug trafficking, smuggling and concerns over political influence in the police department.
The document accused the provincial government of failing to match its security commitments with effective action on the ground.
