Pakistan, July 9 -- Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan's eastern neighbour is involved in terrorism and reaffirmed the government's resolve to eliminate militant groups. He made the remarks while chairing the National Action Plan Provincial Apex Committee meeting in Quetta. The meeting focused on strengthening national security and counterterrorism efforts across the country.

The meeting was attended by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the Governor and Chief Minister of Balochistan, and senior federal ministers. Addressing participants, the prime minister said several major terrorist incidents had occurred in recent days. He paid tribute to police personnel, soldiers, and civilians who lost their lives in the attacks.
