ISLAMABAD, Sept. 3 -- Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has vowed strict action against officials found negligent in the Pims fire. He chaired an emergency meeting on health affairs and the hospital tragedy on Tuesday. The prime minister said authorities would show no leniency toward officials found guilty of criminal negligence. The fire killed 14 infants at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences on August 26. The tragedy has sparked demands for accountability from lawmakers and families.
