Pakistan, May 18 -- Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has thanked Qatar for supporting Pakistan's diplomatic efforts aimed at promoting regional peace and de-escalation amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East.

The appreciation was conveyed during a telephone conversation between Shehbaz Sharif and Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani on Sunday, according to an official statement.
