Pakistan, July 29 -- Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to develop a scientific method for assessing tax potential across sectors. The move aims to improve revenue collection, strengthen tax administration, and identify areas of tax evasion.

Chairing a weekly review meeting on FBR reforms, the prime minister ordered authorities to work with the power sector to identify businesses and individuals linked to the informal economy. He directed legal action against those involved in tax evasion.
