Pakistan, July 28 -- Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday directed officials to accelerate the federal government's rightsizing programme to reduce public spending and improve institutional efficiency. He also ordered a third-party audit of abolished posts to ensure transparency throughout the reform process.

Chairing a high-level review meeting in Islamabad, the prime minister said eliminating redundant positions remains a key priority. He instructed the Rightsizing Committee to complete its remaining recommendations within one month.
