Pakistan, Aug. 20 -- Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has invited the opposition to engage in meaningful dialogue to resolve outstanding political issues, saying the government remains ready for constructive and purposeful talks. He made the offer during a federal cabinet meeting while stressing that dialogue has always been the government's preferred approach.

The prime minister said the government wanted to address political differences through discussions rather than confrontation. He urged the opposition to come forward for meaningful engagement, adding that constructive talks could help resolve issues and strengthen political stability.
