Pakistan, July 9 -- Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has praised overseas Pakistanis after the country received a record $41.6 billion in remittances during FY2025-26. He said the 8.6 percent increase reflects the confidence of expatriate Pakistanis in the government's economic policies. The record inflows are expected to strengthen Pakistan's foreign exchange reserves and support economic stability.
In a statement, the prime minister described overseas Pakistanis as a valuable national asset. He said the entire nation is proud of their continued contribution to the country's economy. Shehbaz Sharif also assured expatriates that their welfare remains a top priority for the government.
