Pakistan, Sept. 18 -- The death toll from the Pims nursery fire has risen to 15 after the only surviving newborn died during treatment. The baby, Aizal, had survived the initial blaze after nurse Razia Noreen rescued her. Her father said she was premature and remained in critical condition for several days.

The fire broke out in the nursery of the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences, where 15 newborns were present. Fourteen babies died at the scene, while Aizal initially survived the tragedy. She later succumbed to complications after receiving treatment.
