Pakistan, Aug. 8 -- Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Iran will defend its rights and preserve its military capabilities despite external pressure. He said Tehran would not accept attempts to force the country into submission.

Pezeshkian made the remarks during the final part of a televised broadcast aired Friday. The programme marked the second anniversary of his inauguration as president.
