Pakistan, Sept. 23 -- Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Iran defended itself against US attacks during the war. Addressing the UN General Assembly, he said Iran did not target civilians. Pezeshkian also accused US strikes of killing innocent Iranian civilians.

Pezeshkian said international principles were not respected during attacks against Iran. He said Iran did not seek its security at the expense of others. He also maintained that Iran used its right to defend itself.

According to Pezeshkian, Iranian forces targeted US objectives rather than civilians. He said Iran's Supreme Leader was killed without legal justification. He also said women and children died during the conflict.
