Pakistan, Aug. 24 -- The Peshawar High Court has stopped authorities from collecting unexplained taxes included in an electricity bill. The order came during a hearing concerning various charges imposed on the applicant's bill. The court also combined similar petitions for consideration.
According to the petitioner's lawyer, the applicant regularly pays electricity bills. However, the August bill reportedly contained additional taxes without clear explanations. The petitioner challenged the inclusion of these charges before the court.
