PESHAWAR, Sept. 22 -- Police are investigating the death of a girl whose body was found hanging from a tree near Khyber Teaching Hospital. The girl was identified as Iqra, according to SP Cantt.

Police said the incident did not initially appear to be a suicide. According to the officer, Iqra's mother was present at the scene under suspicious circumstances. Investigators later learned that Iqra was unmarried and pregnant.
