Pakistan, May 9 -- The PCMD Diagnostic Laboratory at the Dr. Panjwani Center for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research (PCMD), University of Karachi, has introduced BRCA-1 and BRCA-2 Expanded Gene Panel tests for the early detection of hereditary cancer risk.

These tests support family risk assessment and preventive care, while also helping guide screening and risk-reduction decisions.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Raza Shah, Director of the International Centre for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi, expressed these views while presiding over a meeting held at the PCMD Diagnostic Laboratory on Thursday.
