Pakistan, Aug. 23 -- Pakistan's politics is passing through a period in which differences of opinion are no longer confined to political disagreement alone. At times, these differences appear to be creating divisions, bitterness, and mistrust within society. In such an environment, any step that can reduce tensions, bring political forces back within the constitutional and democratic framework, and strengthen trust among state institutions should certainly be appreciated.
