Pakistan, Aug. 21 -- The government has extended working hours at eight major regional passport offices, allowing citizens to access services until midnight.

Under the new arrangement, the selected passport offices will operate in two shifts from Monday to Friday. The move aims to improve public access.

According to the notification, the first shift will run from 8am to 4pm. The second shift will continue from 4pm until midnight.

The double-shift system officially took effect on August 20, 2026. Citizens can therefore use passport services during extended evening hours.
