Pakistan, July 23 -- A team of Pakistani male and female trekkers has successfully completed the 5,050-metre Phaghram Pass-Golin trek in Chitral for the first time under an initiative of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government aimed at promoting adventure tourism in the province.
According to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (KPCTA), the expedition was organized on the directives of Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Tourism and Culture Malik Adeel Iqbal.
The team traversed the challenging Phaghram Pass, linking Laspur Valley in Upper Chitral with Golin Valley in Lower Chitral, becoming the first Pakistani expedition, including women, to successfully complete the historic route.
