Pakistan, July 30 -- Pakistan has urged the United Nations Security Council to ensure full implementation of the Gaza ceasefire and peace framework. Islamabad warned that delays could damage prospects for lasting peace and Palestinian statehood. The statement was delivered during a UNSC debate on the Middle East situation.

Pakistan's Permanent Representative to the UN Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad said the Security Council must uphold commitments under the Gaza peace plan and Resolution 2803. He said the current situation required urgent action to prevent further humanitarian suffering. The envoy called for stronger international efforts.
