Pakistan, Oct. 27 -- Pakistan suffered a major top-order batting collapse against Sri Lanka at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. After being invited to bat first, the home side lost six wickets while scoring just 64 runs. Top-order batter Fakhar Zaman edged a delivery into the air, offering a simple catch to fielders. Subsequently, young opener Maaz Sadaqat was trapped leg-before-wicket by an inswinging delivery from Asitha Fernando. Furthermore, wicketkeeper-batter Saad Baig fell shortly after scoring only five runs, worsening Pakistan's initial troubles. Consequently, early Sri Lankan bowling breakthroughs placed the home side under immense pressure.
