Islamabad, April 9 -- The government has decided to observe a day of thanksgiving next Friday to mark the US-Iran ceasefire. The announcement came following a cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The session briefed members on Pakistan's diplomatic efforts that contributed to the successful ceasefire between Washington and Tehran.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister highlighted Pakistan's mediation role and detailed the steps taken to facilitate dialogue between the two countries. Cabinet members were informed about the coordination, negotiations, and diplomatic measures that helped secure the truce.
