Pakistan, May 18 -- Pakistan is set to script history as it prepares to host the Billie Jean King Cup for the first time, with 10 Asian women's tennis teams confirmed to compete in the country in October, the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) announced on Sunday.

"For the first time in Pakistan's sporting history, 10 Asian women's tennis teams will be arriving to compete on our soil," Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, the PTF President said in a vlog.

According to Aisam, the event will be a game changer as it will provide Pakistani girls a unique platform to showcase their talent and enhance their global rankings.
