Pakistan, Sept. 23 -- Pakistan stocks advanced on Wednesday as investors showed strong buying interest across several major sectors. The KSE-100 Index gained 830.43 points during the session. It closed at 172,232.51, up 0.48 per cent from the previous close.
The benchmark index remained positive throughout the trading session. It reached an intraday high of 172,762.41 points. The index recorded its lowest level at 171,843.50 points during trading.
Buying activity remained strong across fertiliser, commercial banks, refineries and exploration companies. Fauji Fertilizer Company, United Bank and Meezan Bank led the index gains. Attock Refinery and Engro Holdings also supported the upward movement.
