Pakistan, May 8 -- Pakistan has sought Singapore's support to repatriate Pakistani and Iranian nationals aboard vessels seized by the United States. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar said 11 Pakistanis and 20 Iranians remain stranded near Singaporean waters. The move highlights growing regional tensions affecting maritime security and civilian crews in the Gulf region.
Dar said he spoke with Singaporean Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan regarding the welfare and return of those onboard. He added that Pakistan was coordinating closely with Iranian authorities over the developing situation.
