Pakistan, Aug. 24 -- Chairman Senate, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani here on Sunday held a meeting with a high-level Qatari delegation led by Sheikh Nayef Bin Eid Al Thani, prominent businessman and senior member of the Royal Family of Qatar.

The Chairman Senate warmly welcomed the delegation and highlighted the longstanding brotherly relations between Pakistan and Qatar.

The Chairman Senate said that the relations between Pakistan and Qatar were rooted in shared history, culture, faith and mutually beneficial trade ties spanning centuries, said a news release.

He stressed the need to further deepen bilateral relations through enhanced trade, investment and socio-political cooperation.
