Pakistan, Sept. 22 -- Pakistan has secured another Qatari LNG cargo following diplomatic engagement involving Iranian officials, according to government officials. The shipment has crossed the strategically important Strait of Hormuz. It is expected to reach Port Qasim within the next few days.

The cargo is Pakistan's second Qatari LNG shipment this month. Officials expect the additional gas to provide temporary support to the power sector. Several areas are currently facing six to 12 hours of loadshedding amid ongoing gas supply constraints.
